Where am I today... Bermagui, NSW
September 23rd 2006 13:22
Bermagui was our last rest day before the bright lights of Sydney so in my mind I'm...
...eating breakfast on the headland overlooking Little Mt Dromedary. There's a baby wattle bird in a nest in the bush beside me with the morning sun in its eye. It's Mum just beat up a seagull.
...lazing on Bermagui Beach, watching the waves and planning the next leg of my cycle tour.
...pigging out at the Cream Patisserie. It cost me $10AUS for a beef and burgandy pie, an iced coffee and the best snot block (French Vanilla Slice) in Australia.
...watching the boats come in with fresh fish from a table at the Saltwater in Bermagui Cafe. I'm eating fish of the day for under $25AUS.
...watching 24-hour movies in bed at the Harbourview Motel. A splurge at $110AUS per night but worth it with kitchenette, private BBQ and courtyard and a very comfy bed.
